Set to become an iconic landmark of Penang, Runnymede Bay is a 5-acre seafront development along the vibrant and historic Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, better known as Millionaire’s Row.
It is the collaborative result of world-renowned architect, the late Kerry Hill, whose legacy is evident throughout Asia, Australia, Europe and China – winning awards like the prestigious Aga Khan award for the Datai Langkawi Hotel, and the AHEAD award both in 2019 and 2021 for the world-renowned Amanyangyun Resort in Shanghai and the Aman Tokyo hotel, respectively. He was personally involved in the planning and designing of the entire development, which will see luxury residences, a premier retail centre and an outstanding office tower.
When completed, the heritage Runnymede Hotel building will take the centre stage within this development and will be converted into The Ritz-Carlton Hotel banquet hall and F&B facilities. This will restore the former glory of the Runnymede Hotel.
